What does it include?
 
These are the main services included in the Health Protection insurance:
  • Primary care. Family medicine and paediatrics/childcare (up to 15 years of age) at the health centre and at home, during the days and times established for the purpose. Includes nursing.
  • Emergencies. Health assistance in cases of emergency. Includes ambulance service.
  • Special care at home. Special care at home when the illness does not require hospitalisation or specialised equipment.
  • Hospital care. Hospitalisation at a clinic or hospital. Includes ambulance service.
  • Medical specialities, surgery, diagnostic tests and therapeutic methods.
    Cardiology, dermatology, endocrinology, neurology, gynaecology, orthopaedics, ophthalmology, oncology, psychiatry, etc.
  • Other care services. Physiotherapy, speech therapy, nutrition, podiatry, prostheses, mother and child programmes, psychology, home respiratory therapies and paediatric dentistry.
  • Occupational and traffic-related accidents. Health assistance in the event of a road accident or an occupational or professional illness, regarding as such those recognised by the competent Authorities.
  • Emergency care on trips abroad. Health assistance in the event of an illness or accident. Includes medical expenses, the transfer of sick and injured people and costs in the event of death, etc.
  • Preventive medicine. Programmes for the early diagnosis of diseases. Includes a medical appointment, a physical examination and basic diagnostic tests.
  • Digital and home-based services. Video consultations (24 h doctor and personalised health programmes), delivery of medicines from the pharmacy and home physiotherapy.
  • Sanitas 24 hours. Medical staff available by phone 24/7 every day of the year for medical queries, treatments, medication, test results, etc.
  • Second medical opinions. Second opinions on diagnoses and medical treatments in the event of serious chronic diseases.
  • New digital psychology service “Take care of your mind”. 100% digital, with diagnostic guidance, online therapies, accompaniment and professional support.

  • CUN (University Clinic of Navarre) €9.80/month per insured party
    Wider medical team, incorporating the hospitals of the University Clinics of Navarre in Navarre and Madrid (price valid for the whole of Spain except Madrid, Toledo, Segovia, Guadalajara and Ávila).
  • Coverage in the United States €1.50/month per insured person
    Health assistance in an approved network of medical centres in the United States.
Payment methods
 
The insurance fee will be paid by direct debit to the bank account you specify.

Payment methods:
 
  • WITHOUT co-payment: so you do not have to worry about paying any additional charge for the use of your health insurance.
  • WITH co-payment: €3.50 for each medical act and €9 for psychology.
  • With reimbursement: you can go to any professional and/or medical centre outside the Sanitas medical directory, with the same scope of insured coverage as in the medical directory, and will be reimbursed up to 80% and up to €200,000 per person per year (with sub-limits), in Spain and abroad.
